Dana Schultz – Office Manager
Hi, I'm Dana and as the office manager, I take care of marketing and make sure that the office has a pleasant atmosphere for our patients and staff. I began in the orthodontic field 27 years ago because I knew I could make a positive difference in people's lives. Our patients are wonderful to get to know and they always make me smile.
I am married to Steve and we have two children, Lawrence and Jessica. We also have a Poodle, Katy, and a Boston terrier, Bella. In my free time I enjoy reading and crocheting.
Melissa Reyes – Patient Manager
Hello, I'm Melissa and I've managed our patients' treatment for Dr. Gerling for 11 years. I love seeing the wonderful results our patients achieve and enjoy building relationships with them. Meeting all these wonderful people has brought confidence and inspiration to my life.
I am married to my husband, Mario, and we have a daughter, Zalika, and a son, JD. We also have a small zoo of dogs, cats, turtles, and fish. I enjoy reading, camping, traveling, spending time at the beach, and target shooting. I am also a member of the booster club for the La Joya baseball team, the Huskeys!
Jeanette Garcia – Patient Manager
Hello, my name is Jeanette and I manage our patients' treatment and make sure their records are complete and up to date. I love making our patients feel great about their smiles and getting to know them over their treatment time. It is very rewarding to know I'm making a positive difference in people's lives.
I am originally from Edinburg and currently reside in McAllen.
Maritza Garcia – Patient Manager
Hello, I'm Maritza and I've been managing our patients' treatment for three years. I love seeing the beautiful results our patients achieve when they're done with their treatment. Our team gets along really well even though we all have different personalities and characters.
I am originally from Detroit and now live in McAllen with my husband, Ernesto, our daughter, Sara, and a pet fish named Nemo. I love being outdoors but you can always find me watching Saturday morning cartoons with my daughter.
Lucy Ortega – Receptionist
Hello, I'm Lucy and answer phones, schedule patient appointments, and keep the office flowing well. Seeing our patients with beautiful smiles makes me feel good about the work we do here, and I know we're making a positive difference in people's lives. The staff here is more like a family, and we enjoy spending time with each other in and out of the office.
I currently reside in McAllen with my husband, Juan, our daughters, Dulce and Paola, and three Golden Retrievers, Goldie, Maui, and Whiskey. I love cooking and baking, walking my dogs, gardening, and spending time with my family.
Beatriz Rodriguez – Financial Coordinator
Hi, my name is Beatriz and I file insurance claims and handle patient accounts for Dr. Gerling. I love seeing the end results of treatment, the happy smiles and improved confidence. I enjoy getting to know out patients on a personal level and learning about their lives outside the office. Our team works so well together because we have such a good coach in Dr. Gerling.
I live in McAllen with my husband, Lacho, and our daughters, Ashley, Janelle, and Monica. We also have three dogs, Jasmine, Iris, and Boomer. I love to read and spend time with my family and friends.
Amanda Garza – Treatment Coordinator
Hi, my name is Amanda and I make our new patients comfortable in the office and review treatment plans with Dr. Gerling, the patients, and their parents. I love making people feel good about their teeth and improving their smiles. Working here has taught me to be patient and really listen to other people's needs.
I have lived in Mission my entire life. My husband's name is Homer and we have two children, Andres and Sophia, and a miniature Schnauzer, Roxy. I love crafting and walking my dog, and I am involved in many activities through my church.
Jenny Hernandez – Lab Technician
Hi, I'm Jenny and I make retainers, appliances, and manage all of our retention patients. I've been in the field of orthodontics for 33 years and still get excited when our patients achieve beautiful smiles.
I live in McAllen and have four Chihuahuas, Jenno, Chacho, Bella, and Jean. I love to travel and dance.
